Driving lessons in Union County, NJ

Our home county

Our office is on Morris Avenue (Route 82) in Union, near the middle of Union County, so every one of the county’s 21 towns is close by — from Elizabeth and Linden in the east to Summit, New Providence and Berkeley Heights in the west. We pick students up at home, at high school or at work anywhere in the county and drop them back after the lesson.

Roads our students learn on

Union County gives learners a bit of everything. Quiet residential streets in towns like Cranford, Garwood and Fanwood are ideal for first lessons. Busier corridors teach real-world skills: Route 22 with its jughandles and U-turn ramps through Union, Springfield and Mountainside; US 1&9 through Elizabeth, Linden and Rahway; Route 28 through Roselle Park, Cranford and Westfield; Routes 24 and 124 toward Summit; and I-78 and the Parkway (GSP) for highway merging when you are ready.

Permits and road tests from Union County

The closest licensing centers are in Elizabeth (17 Caldwell Place) and Rahway (1140 Woodbridge Road). Rahway is also the closest road test site for most of the county; Newark (228 Frelinghuysen Avenue) is the other nearby option. The office on Route 22 East in Springfield handles REAL ID only and does not give road tests. We bring our school car to the test site and wait for you while the examiner rides along.
